just floor length in front, long train in back
both front and back of skirt gathered in horizontal folds
hem is edged with plissee, the lace covering its seam is gathered up with 
   blue ribbons here and there
bodice and pointed side drapery (12) of blue brocade with gold pattern
crossed lace garniture on bodice

6: front of bodice
7: 1st side of bodice, meets (6) at + sign
8: 2nd side, meets (7) at + sign
9: back of bodice, meets (8) at -0- sign
10: front of skirt, horizontal folds represented by lines (in 1879 they usually folded upwards)
11: back of skirt, meets (10) at planet sign
12: side of skirt, laid *over* front part at -0- and planet sign
